Why I Became a STEM/STEAM Tutor

If someone had told me years ago that I’d be teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) online, I might have laughed. But here I am, guiding young minds into the exciting world of coding, robotics, and creative problem-solving. So, why did I choose this path? Let me take you on my journey.

A Love for Teaching and Technology

I’ve always loved teaching. With 10 years of experience in preschool classrooms and 4 years of teaching online, I’ve seen firsthand how children learn best—through curiosity, creativity, and hands-on experiences. When I discovered STEM and STEAM education, it felt like the perfect bridge between my passion for teaching and my love for technology.

Technology is everywhere. Our world is shaped by innovation, and I wanted to empower kids to become creators, not just consumers. I knew that if I could introduce young learners to coding and robotics early on, I’d be giving them a superpower—the ability to build, design, and solve problems in ways they never imagined.

The Joy of Watching Kids Create

One of the most rewarding moments as an online tutor is seeing a child's face light up when they create something on their own. Whether it's:

A Scratch game where a cat jumps over obstacles

A robotic arm simulation using block-based coding

A simple AI project that recognizes images

Every project is a win—a step towards confidence, creativity, and problem-solving.

I remember a student who struggled with logic. She was hesitant about coding, thinking it was "too hard." But after a few interactive lessons and fun challenges, she built her first game. The excitement in her voice when she said, "I did it!" was priceless. That’s why I teach.

STEM is the Future, and Kids Deserve a Head Start

The world is changing fast. Jobs of the future will require critical thinking, coding, and problem-solving skills. Many kids grow up using technology, but few learn how to build it. I want to change that.

By teaching STEM and STEAM online, I can reach kids anywhere, breaking the limits of location. Whether a child is in a big city or a small village, they should have access to quality STEM education.

Making Learning Fun and Accessible

Traditional learning can sometimes feel rigid. I wanted to create a space where kids feel free to experiment, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. That’s why I:
✔️ Use game-based learning to make coding fun
✔️ Encourage hands-on projects so kids can see real results
✔️ Create a safe, encouraging environment for kids to ask questions and explore

Building a Community of Young Innovators

STEM and STEAM learning aren’t just about coding and robots—they’re about problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. Through my online classes and STEM club (Coding Doodles Club), I aim to create a community where kids:
* Code together
* Share their projects
*Inspire each other

Watching young learners grow in confidence, collaborate on ideas, and even teach each other is one of the best parts of my journey.

Final Thoughts: Why I Love Being an Online STEM Tutor

Teaching STEM and STEAM online is more than a job—it’s a mission. I want every child to believe that they can code, create, and innovate. Because in the end, STEM isn’t just about technology; it’s about shaping the future—one young mind at a time.

And that’s why I do what I do.

Are you a parent looking to introduce your child to STEM? Or a teacher exploring digital learning? Let’s connect! I’d love to help more kids discover the magic of coding and robotics.
